Greetings from the KSBi President

On behalf of the Korean Society for Bioinformatics (KSBi), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to BIOINFO/GIW ISCB-Asia 2026 in Seoul.

This conference represents an important milestone for the bioinformatics community in Asia. By bringing together the longstanding legacy of the Genome Informatics Workshop (GIW) and the global leadership of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), we aim to establish a truly integrative platform that reflects both the depth and the future direction of our field.

We are entering a transformative era in biomedical research, driven by the convergence of large-scale genomics, artificial intelligence, and data-centric approaches. BIOINFO/GIW ISCB-Asia 2026 is designed to capture this momentum—highlighting not only methodological innovation, but also its translation into meaningful biomedical impact.
