Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Program Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to BIOINFO/GIW ISCB-Asia 2026, to be held in Seoul, Korea, November 17–20, 2026. Since its inception as the Genome Informatics Workshop in 1990, GIW has grown into one of the longest-running and most respected international conferences in bioinformatics and computational biology. We are honored to bring this tradition to Seoul — a city that stands at the intersection of rich scientific heritage and rapid technological innovation.
This year's program reflects the transformative role that artificial intelligence and machine learning are playing across genomics, from protein structure prediction and single-cell analysis to drug discovery and precision medicine. We have assembled an exciting lineup of keynote talks, oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops that showcase the latest advances at the frontier of computational biology. We warmly encourage contributions from established researchers, early-career scientists, and students alike.
Seoul, with its vibrant research community, world-class infrastructure, and welcoming culture, provides an ideal setting for scientific exchange and collaboration. We look forward to fostering new connections across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, and to an inspiring meeting together.
We sincerely hope you will join us in Seoul this November.
Warm regards,
Giltae Song, Sunjae Lee, and Joon-Yong An
