KSBi–Church Travel Award

The Organizing Committee of BIOINFO/GIW ISCB-Asia 2026 is pleased to announce the KSBi–Church Travel Award,

generously supported by the Korean Society for Bioinformatics and a donation from George Church.

This award aims to support outstanding early-career researchers and to promote broader participation from diverse regions in the global bioinformatics community.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Student or Postdoctoral researcher
  • Submitted an abstract or highlight to the conference
  • Selected for a talk or poster presentation

Award Support

  • Round-trip airfare (economy class)
  • And/or registration fee waiver based on budget eligibility

Application Process

  • Evaluation based on:
  • Scientific merit of submitted abstract or highlight
  • Review by the Travel Award Selection Committee
  • Priority consideration for applicants from countries classified as:
  • Low-income
  • Lower-middle-income
  • Upper-middle-income

Award Administration

  • Selected awardees will be individually notified
  • Airfare will be arranged and issued by the Organizing Committee
  • Awardees must:
  • Complete conference registration
  • Attend the conference in person
  • Present their assigned talk or poster

  • Failure to attend or present may result in withdrawal of the award
  • Detailed instructions will be provided upon selection
